After completing an advanced degree in biophysics and physiology at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., I, Dr. D’Agate completed my residency at Winthrop University Hospital in 2002 and a fellowship in adult cardiovascular disease at Saint Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York City in 2005.

Keeping with my drive for good heart health, I have co-authored multiple books and numerous publications in various areas of cardiovascular disease. My interests include: atherosclerosis and diabetes/obesity, non-invasive imaging of the coronary arteries, primary/secondary prevention of atherosclerotic heart disease, and the diagnosis/treatment of peripheral vascular disease. At present, I am one of a few cardiologists in the United States with advanced training in vascular imaging technology (R.V.T.).

I am board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and nuclear cardiology. Currently I practice as a member of Suffolk Heart Group with privileges at Southside Hospital of Bay Shore, Good Samaritan Hospital of West Islip, and St. Catherine of Siena of Smithtown, in New York.

With all this experience, knowledge and drive for good heart health I now embark on a new venture… Dr. Daves Food 411 my new recipe blog. I look forward to giving you the tools you need to stay healthy and eat well. Welcome and dig in!
