Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

Eating pumpkin is good for the heart and a smoothie is good for the soul. The fiber, potassium, and vitamin C content in pumpkin all support heart health. Do something good for your heart & your tastebuds!

Equipment

  • food processor or blender

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin *NOT pie filling
  • 1/3 cup plain greek yogurt Fat free
  • 1/2 cup almond milk Unsweetened
  • 2 tablespoons rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (Recipe below)
  • 3-4 ice cubes

Instructions

  • In a food processor or blender, process all the ingredients for one minute, or until smooth and frothy.
  • Pour into a glass. Serve immediately.

Notes

NOTE: Make sure to buy 100% pure pumpkin and not pumpkin pie filling or mix, which looks similar but can have added sugar.
